Friday Follies, St. Patrick’s Day, and March Madness all at the same time! Ok, so I’m not Irish but I do wear green sometimes and I don’t follow March Madness that closely, but I used to love basketball when Kobe and Shaq were such a great duo for the Lakers. Anyway…one day when we needed to relieve some stress at the office, we added a mini-basketball backboard and hoop and a little basketball. Since we had so much fun, we decided to make the “One of the Good Guys” mini-basketball hoop available in our store. It is a fun way to relax…unless you get frustrated trying to figure out how to get the lightweight ball to go into that little basket. Oh well. The kids will love it.
Several of you have asked about the schedule of events on July 4th in my hometown of Mt. Airy, NC. This is what I have been told so far…the muralist JEKS and I will be co-grand marshals of the parade that will start at 11:00 am. The ribbon-cutting ceremony, dedication, and unveiling of the mural will begin immediately after the parade, probably about 1:00 pm or 1:30 pm. Maybe there will be a lunch break. Then there will be a meet and greet and book signing at the museum afterwards. The fan club will sell the new cd ALL BECAUSE OF YOU, the latest book Everything Is Possible With God, pictures, and other items.
Linda said several of you have asked if we could have a get-together perhaps the next day – like maybe a luncheon – for those of you who are interested. Give us some feedback so we can plan ahead.
