Hey You Guys!!!

Happy First Friday Follies of 2024!  Hot Dog!  Well, we made it through another year together, and I hope you had a great Christmas and your new year is off to a wonderful start.  I want to say thank you so much for the beautiful Christmas cards and flowers and gifts.  You spoil me.  You are so sweet and kind.  I love Facebook because I get to visit with my favorite people – YOU!!!!

Well, here in Fargo Country, we’re working really hard to get the new calendar finished.  I guess we thought we were Speedy Gonzales and could get it done before the new year, but no.  We should have started sooner.  Duh.  Who is Speedy Gonzales anyway?  Oh Lord, will the “Woke” police come after me?  All kidding aside, I hope we’ll have the calendar done some time next week.  It’s good to keep learning those same lessons over and over, huh?

Anyway, there’s just something about a new year that makes you want to start over or change some things – like maybe break some bad habits and make some new ones.  Huh?  But if you think about it, every day starts a new year.  Right?  So just get back at it and start again if you have to.  I’m talking to myself here too, especially after all the “sweets” I enjoyed over the holidays…it’s time to get back to my old routine which means less sugar.    And if you’re trying to change your diet, remember avoiding some foods like sugar and getting off coffee can seriously affect your energy level and cause headaches, and you’ll wind up in “Sludgeville” for a while.

If you’ve already made some positive changes like maybe last year or just in the past few months, enjoy the feeling of pride and respect for yourself and let this attitude convince you that you can help yourself again.  It’s one-day-at-a-time stuff.  Old school.  But we can do it.

I hope you all have the best year ever.  Let’s keep up the good work and commit to doing whatever we think we should do.  Enjoy the journey, and embrace the future with love and joy and enthusiasm.  Honor God and ourselves.  If we’re doing something right, keep on doing it.  If we’re doing something wrong or something that dishonors us in any way, stop it.  Let’s believe in each other and ourselves, stay safe and be careful.  Remember, this is not a rehearsal…we only get one trip through.

Happy New Year!  The best is yet to come!

I love you,

Donna
