December 29, 2023

All aboard!!!  This Friday Follies train is getting ready to move.  This is the last Friday of 2023 and we look forward to 2024!  Toot toot – What a hoot – Here we go!!!  Okay, Silly.

Well, according to the calendar, we survived the hustle and bustle of Christmas, and how wonderful this time of year was, huh?  So now we wonder “What Will The New Year Bring?”  As we embrace the possibilities, let’s vow to make our own sunshine if the weather in life gets dreary and cold or dark.  When negative thoughts try to steal our joy, let’s put our “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door of our heart and say, “Nope, you’re not welcome here today.  I will not entertain you with fears or regrets or disappointment.  I will choose to enjoy life just the way it is and thank God for it.”  We know it can always be worse, so let’s count our blessings and be grateful for what we do have, where we are, and for what we still have to do and get to it.  In the coming year, let’s commit to changing something we really need to change to make our lives better and actually do whatever we’ve been saying we need to do instead of just thinking about it and talking about it.  Okay.  Hot dog!  I can’t wait.  Let’s do it!

And to all of you personally, I say “Keep on being the special people you are.”  Let all the pictures in your mind and heart be positive and hopeful.  Let the people closest to you know that they really matter to you.  Thank them specifically for what they do for you that you appreciate and tell them how much you value having them in your life.  I hope you will also give yourself permission to focus on your own unlimited potential and possibilities and see your life as a beautiful present from God.  May you know that you are loved, supported, and appreciated…because you are.

For everyone reading this, I hope you have the most fabulous new year filled with all your prayers answered and every dream come true.  I hope you will continue to learn how to be your own best friend, stay grounded in faith and stay close to God.  He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him, and you will also face life fearlessly and triumphantly if you trust in Him.

I love, you!

Donna

P.S.  I just read a cool, quirky, fun book called Drifting Too Far From The Shore by Niles Reddick.  It’s “down home,” and the characters are so real, they may seem like some of your relatives.  I think you’d like it.
