Happy Friday Follies Everybody!!!
I hope you’re all doing great. My prayer is that you’re happy and healthy and as always, loving life. So glad you’re enjoying the new watches. They’re really fun. What a great idea you had! Thank you. We aim to please. And this week we’ve added some bookmarks at your request. Hope you like.
There are a couple of Facebook comments that I want to address…The first one is by a Diane Jordan which reads as follows:
“In the 1970s, I was booked on a show with you in Florida. John Anderson’s band was supposed to back me. My agent called me four days before the show to tell me I was cancelled because Donna Fargo’s contract didn’t allow any other female singers on her shows. I couldn’t believe it! John Anderson’s sister sang backup in his band and she wasn’t allowed to go onstage with him. I needed that booking and that cancellation caused me a lot of tears. I was ‘exceptional’ but it didn’t matter, did it? You and your husband controlled that show, not God. We never forget how people treat us.”
Yeah, and what you’ve said to me is ludicrous and beyond laughable. I categorically deny any involvement in the activities that you allege. Such actions are completely unacceptable, unethical, unprofessional, and absurd. You should confront whoever said this about their dishonesty, not us! My husband Stan Silver nor I would have ever done what you accuse us of and no contract of mine would EVER say such a thing. This is the most ridiculous accusation I’ve ever heard. OMG.
But besides that, you mean you’ve held this hostility since the 70s over someone (an agent, you say) who was dishonest with you. I can assure you it had nothing to do with my husband or me. First of all, neither an artist nor her manager would have anything to do with who else was on any particular show. Can’t you see how crazy stupid this is? Look at all this time you’ve wasted nursing your bitterness by holding on to a grudge – and OVER a lie! OMG again.
I’m so sorry you’re apparently not mature enough to discern the truth and to see that resentment only harms the person feeding on it. I prayed for you to find peace in your heart. I feel so bad for you, but I think you need to examine yourself for your problems and not everyone else. Your negativity is astounding. You’re the only one abusing you.
I also want to address a Facebook comment that a WalterBoo Henry Padgett made under a recent Friday Follies post to set the record straight with FACTS instead of his allegations:
“I still say that this ain’t the real Donna Fargo I think all the accounts are Fake to get Money out of People”
Is this the same WalterBoo Henry Padgett who recently accused me of contacting you for $200.00 to pay for an autograph and for saying I didn’t write my posts and for calling my page a fake? Can you imagine how insulting this is? I have NEVER charged a penny for my autograph and NEVER would. Yes, EVERY word in my Friday Follies is written by me and no one else. And YES, my FB page and my Donna Fargo Fan Club group page are both legitimate and authorized by me. I don’t have the blue check mark because Facebook requires personal information that I want to keep private. That’s MY business. I really don’t care if I have the blue check mark or not. You either believe it’s me making my posts or you don’t.
Okay, that’s it! I know this was a weird one, but now you know I’ll defend myself when I’m wrongly accused. Have a great weekend. See you next week.
