Hey Everybody! Well, here it is Friday again, so Happy Friday Follies!
I hope you’ve been staying healthy, problem-free, happy and “high on life,” like the lyric says in my new song “Small Town Hillbilly Good-Time Saturday Night.”
Thankfully the weather finally realized it’s time for fall, and we’re loving it. Instead of the temperature being in the 100s and over, it’s cooling down to the 80s and it’s nice to see and feel the season change. But enough about the weather.
On Tuesday of this week, I had a zoom interview with Sam MacBeath from KPHR Radio Hamilton in Ontario, Canada. He was so nice! His show is called “A Chat With…” whoever the artist is the day of the interview. And on Tuesday it was yours truly. It airs today at 2:00 pm central time at KatRadioGroup.org. If you miss it, it will air again in November – we’ll keep you updated. Canadians are so nice just like us here in America. We talked about music and songwriting, some of the stuff on my agenda, and I just felt like I’d made another new friend. And we talked for over an hour!
Another fun interview for me this week was The Uncle’s Show with Rob Charles and Ryan Reynolds on Thursday. They’re both so smart and easy to talk to, and I think they’ll love the new record and will play it so their listeners will love it too. They’re with Tribe Nation Radio (an online radio station). We talked for over 3 hours! As soon as we know when it will air, we’ll let you know.
I am always so honored when djs take their time to interview me…and I’m so glad to add these talented dj friends to that list – Sam in Canada and Rob in Louisiana and Ryan in Texas. What was cool too is that all 3 of these guys know each other.
Can’t wait to see y’all at the October 10th autograph signing at the Legends of Country Music Museum and later for a “Small Town Hillbilly Good-Time Saturday Night” celebration at the Santa Fe restaurant just down the street.
