Well, here it is Friday again, and you know what that means….Time to get together with my Friday Follies Friends…We have such a positive bond, and I feel so blessed to know you. I hope you’re doing well and can’t we all appreciate living in America now?
If you’re like us here and in the rest of our country, you’ve probably watched in horror the tv coverage of Israel experiencing hell on earth inflicted by Hamas terrorists and their savage partners. You may have also noticed the number of those killed and injured has been increasing. In addition to assassinating more than a thousand Israeli citizens plus victims from other countries, Hamas has reportedly killed at least 27 Americans. It is beyond comprehension that these barbaric slaughterers bound, burned alive, and beheaded children, raped women and dragged them down the streets naked, shot multiple people attending a music festival, and there’s no telling what they’re doing to the hostages they’re holding. Because of the apparent depth of these attacks by ground, sea, and air, we now have a clear picture of the face of evil. These are the vicious devils who are known for their often-heard slogan “Death to Israel.” Do you think they meant it? We must condemn this uncivilized inhumane tragedy. Let’s not think of Israel as just some faraway place – this small democracy is our main ally in the Middle East. From way back when, I’ve always heard that Israel was/is and will always be God’s chosen people. I’m on God’s side.
They also say “Death to America,” you know. If Israel, who’s known for such great intelligence, was asleep at the wheel or was just outwitted, how secure are we? The level of brutality is shocking, and this is the same type of thinking that killed more than 3,000 Americans on 9/11. Is anybody looking out for us now? With our border wide open and the thousands who have already come in from more than 100 countries and settled who knows where, congratulations to us for our kindness, but it would seem that our safety should be the government’s #1 responsibility. We must learn from these horrendous acts of violence committed against our ally Israel and understand that these terrorist groups do not value life as we do, not even their own. God help us all.
If prayer was ever needed, it’s now! We must pray for the leaders of every country, and especially ours, to make wise decisions so that everyone can live a peaceful life – that’s what the BIBLE says. If we can get more people praying, it would seem to give us a greater degree of powerful energy. We can’t give up, and if as citizens we can do nothing more than to pray and vote, then let’s ask for God’s help and healing for the families whose lives have been so devastated and also protection for our own country. After that, let’s be responsible and do our homework and vote accordingly in the next election.
Let’s stay strong and united. May God provide a guiding light to us in this troubling time.
Love,
Donna
