Happy Friday Follies Everybody!!!!!
And let’s all say…Happy Veteran’s Day (tomorrow) to all of the wonderful men and women veterans for your service to our country. We owe you a huge debt of gratitude for joining the military to keep us all safe, and we appreciate so much the sacrifices you and your families have made for America. “Thank you” just doesn’t seem enough to say for everything you do and have done. We ask God to bless every single one of you and keep you safe and healthy and strong.
Let’s all wish our Facebook friend Jeff Shockley continued success on his return to health after his operation. Take care of yourself, Jeff – spirit, mind, and body! The medical folks seem to be making real progress now, so we wish you the most positive outcome!
And now, I’ll try to answer a couple of questions that several of you have asked about my new cd…”Who is the ‘you’ in ALL BECAUSE OF YOU? It was a surprise to hear the spoken word track at the end…How did that come about? Was it your idea or Stan’s?”
Well, the short answer is I just wanted to show my appreciation to all the people who have supported my music all these years. After all, my dream probably wouldn’t have come true without djs giving me the opportunity to have an audience, so this track is a thank you to every dj who played my music and every one who requested and bought it. Very specifically though, after I had decided on the order of the songs on the new cd, I was in my studio and I noticed the package of my audiobook I THANKED GOD FOR YOU TODAY was on one of my work tables. I immediately listened to the lead poem, and I knew this was my chance to express my gratitude to some of my favorite people in the whole world – YOU!!! I deeply value your loyalty, encouragement, and friendship. You are so special to me.
And now…….on to our new venture in the DISTINCTIVELY DONNA store. The orders are being packaged now and will be headed your way shortly. It’s fun seeing what you like, and we’ll be putting out some other things soon.
