Hey Everybody,

Well, since Easter is right around the corner and it’s such a special holiday, I want to get together with my Friday Follies Friends to share the great hope we have as Christians because of the most miraculous event in all of Christianity: Jesus’ resurrection!

Good Friday marks the day Jesus sacrificed His life through the brutal crucifixion so that we could receive forgiveness for our sins and God’s divine gift of everlasting life. He paid this price for us. He was God manifested in the flesh, so He demonstrated the God kind of love. I can’t imagine ever fully understanding the depth of God’s gift to us. God sacrificed His only Son and Jesus sacrificed His own life. All for us!

Luke 22:42 says, “Father, if Thou be willing, remove this cup from Me: nevertheless not My will, but Thine, be done.” And we think we have problems, and we do, but imagine how Jesus felt. He lived a perfect life, yet He knew His purpose on earth was to go to the cross. His obedience was amazing. He is so worthy to be worshiped. Is He the perfect example of Love on Purpose or what?

And we read in Ephesians 1:19-23…“And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might…and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come; and hath put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church which is His body, the fulness of Him that filleth all in all.”

I remember as a child memorizing John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” I think I might have reasoned that if God loved the world that much and I was a part of the world, then He must love me too.

Just think, because God loved us so much and Jesus paid the debt for us, we have all these blessings: truth, love, faith, salvation, redemption, new life, forgiveness, reconciliation, hope, joy, miracles, healing, abundance, victory, rebirth, righteousness, understanding, peace, authority, gratitude, protection, humility, answers, repentance, confidence, opportunities, purpose, power, happiness, light, mercy, prayer, inspiration, knowledge, and spirituality. And I’m sure I missed a few. Because we are God’s children, we are joint heirs with Christ! Wonder why everyone would not want to be CHRISTIANS? Let’s celebrate God’s mightiest miracle, the Resurrection of Jesus, and His most sacred gift of love for everyone who chooses to be adopted into His family. Jesus is risen!

Happy Easter! You know I love you all!

Love,
Donna
