Hey Everybody,

Thanks for visiting with me on this Friday Follies!  I appreciate so much your thoughtful reactions and compliments and sweet comments about my music.  I’m also glad you like the UK cd with the 50 songs on it.  I do too and I’m tickled you’re keeping us busy with orders.

This week, I thought I’d invite you into one of my heart storms, so here goes…

I know Memorial Day has passed, but I’d like to extend it a little longer to share an analogy with you.  This day was set aside to honor those who died serving our nation.  Like my oldest brother Grayson who was killed in the Korean War, so many were 17 or 18 years old when they gave up their dreams and their lives.  Here’s my analogy.  I was reading in the Bible what Jesus said in John 15:12, “My commandment is this:  to love one another just as I have loved you.”  And John 15:13 says “No one has greater love than this – than one who lays down his life for his friends.”  Every one of our military men and women who were lost in some war laid down his and her life for all Americans.  They showed the Jesus kind of love.  Jesus deserves our love and gratitude for our salvation, and the soldiers who died to protect our freedom deserve our love and gratitude for their patriotism.

We should be thankful every day, not just Memorial Day or Easter or Christmas.  Aren’t we so fortunate to live in this great country that’s worth every effort it takes to save it.

I hope you’re all doing well in every single way.  I think about you so often and pray for you to stay healthy, safe, and happy and positively engaged in whatever you give your time to.

Until next Friday.

Love,

Donna
