Hey To All My Friday Follies Friends,

 I hope life is treating you so well that it’s hard for you to believe.  I want to share with you something I wrote just for you…..

Precious

In this sometimes unfriendly world, “precious” may seem like a strange and outdated word, but I love this word, and I want to talk to you about it.  The dictionary says “high cost or worth, valuable, highly esteemed, cherished,” and those are good definitions for precise meanings and significance, but I have a more personal connotation that helps me describe who you are to me.  I call you precious because you are all treasures to me, too important for mere words.  You’re the “Wow!” in this blessing that I wonder how I became so fortunate to deserve and have you in my life.

You’re way beyond special.  You’ve got a category all your own:  You’re extraordinary, different in such a positive way, rare, exceptional.  The Good Book tells us to love one another, and from where I stand, you fulfill God’s first commandment.  And aren’t you glad your heart is filled with the God kind of love?  You accept everyone, and those around you feel your positive attitude.  Your “system,” like mine, is not a “class system.”  We operate in a spirit of cooperation with others – human to human.  The world needs more people like you.  You decorate every life you touch, and I carry you all in my heart where true friendships dance and the sun always shines.

In short, “precious” is what you are to me, and I love you.  When I grow up, I want to be more like you.
