Hey Everybody!
Welcome back to our Friday Follies, and I’m glad you enjoyed the grammar lesson. This test was just for fun, but at least now you have a trick to check yourself when you want to be grammatically correct when using compounds.
On a personal note, I was pleased to get together with my nephew Grayson and his son Jesse recently when they were in Nashville. It was such fun spending time with them and catching up on what’s been going on in their lives.
Also, I was invited to attend the Assistance League of Nashville Fall Author Luncheon by my author friend Niles Reddick and his wife Michelle. He was the featured speaker. He talked about some of the characters in his books, and he was hilarious. It was such fun.
I had a question from Alana Morgan from Louisiana about why I chose to record a song called “Jacamo” and the flip side, “Song to Celebrate Life.” Actually “Jacamo” was pitched to us by one of the heads of Warner Brothers, and he believed in the song. I thought it was an interesting story and a nice melody, and Stan and I decided it would be fun to do. I wrote “Song to Celebrate Life” I guess because I’m always celebrating life. I just want everybody to be healthy and happy, so that’s the type of song I often write. I like positive songs that lift people up and make them feel better. Our thoughts and words and actions influence our psyche and help us spiritually.
Thanks to all of you for your sweet comments, and to answer another question about whether or not blue is my favorite color, yes it is.
To switch subjects here, I want to ask you all to pray for our long-time fan/friend Curtis Cox. While he was visiting Linda, he had a stroke! We believe he’s on the road to recovery, so we thank you for lifting him up in prayer.
Love you guys so much. Please stay healthy and strong and I hope you all missed that crazy storm like we did. But my home state of North Carolina was hit hard, so we ask for your prayers for all those caught in the storm’s path who suffered devastating loss of home and family.
Love,
Donna
