Hey Everybody! It’s time for Friday Follies! How’s it going? I don’t know about you, but I’ve had enough turkey for a while. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
It’s been an exciting November with all the events at the Country Music Hall of Fame, the interview with Eryn at WSM, and the interview with Katy Rogers at the Legends of Country Music Museum. Michael and Sam did a great job with my display. Tess Frizzell presented a painting of me that I will soon find the perfect wall for. I was happy to sit down with Scot England again for an interview. He is so cool, and lots of people dropped by to say hello from everywhere, it seemed like. Nashville, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Murfreesboro, Kentucky, Knoxville, Florida, Indiana, California and New York, and some other places I can’t remember. I had the best time talking to the nicest people. One sweet lady told me some cool DF show stories and made me cry because she was crying. Three of my favorite friends, Calvin and Ann Vaughn and Everett Drake were also there. It was great to see one of my favorite former keyboard players, Guy Meredith too.
I was just told that “You Can Count On Me” is now #11 on Cashbox. I love you, Cashbox! Thank you!!! Thank you! Thank you!
To any of you who are interested, you are welcome to write your review of the live cd, and we will put the reviews in the next Friday Follies. That would be cool! I would love to hear what you have to say about it. I just listened to it again awhile ago, and it took me back, and it was fun. Oh, two just came in. Norma Jean writes, “OH MY GOSH your
new live cd Donna, I love everything about it.”
I just read Dave Thompson’s review on Facebook: “Got my Donna Fargo “Live” CD today! Already played it 3 times. It is BRILLIANT! I love it! The final song “Forever Young” is a masterpiece! I remember Donna doing that song at the Little Nashville Opry and fell in live with it then. Donna belts it out on that song!! This CD is a must have!”
Please stay healthy and happy and safe, and always be your sweet, wonderful selves. You know I love you and believe in you.
Love,
Donna.
PS Thank you Norma Jean and Dave Thompson for your sweet comments about the live cd. That’s music to my heart.
