Hey Everybody! Welcome to Friday Follies again! It’s raining here in Music City, so I guess the clouds have to shed their tears too, when they’ve gathered too much to carry any longer, so they know it’s time to let go again. Besides, the sun will be showing up soon to dry up all the rain.
I hope you’re all doing well. I think about you often and love the Facebook posts and appreciate your sweet comments.
Today, I’ll be joining Eryn at 5:00 pm on WSM’s On Air with Eryn show. She is behind the microphone from 3 pm-7 pm, and I’m sure she keeps a lot of you company on your drive home. And I hope some of you will be checking us out and wishing us well. And then on Saturday, I can’t wait to see all who are planning to attend the event at the Legends Country Music Museum. This museum is great. They have wonderful displays, and the people there are the sweetest people anywhere.
We’ve been busy gathering up things to give to the museum for their Donna Fargo display. The ribbon-cutting and meet and greet is this Saturday, November 22nd at 2:00 pm at the Legends of Country Music Museum located at 2613 McGavock Pike in Nashville. I gave them 3 outfits from the early days. There was a shirt and pants ensemble made by famous designer Bill Belew, who also created Elvis’ fabulous stage costumes. The second item I gave them was a multi-colored sequined “butterfly” top that I wore for the tv show in Texas called “Blowout at Billy Bob’s.” The third piece was a great jacket made of suede and feathers by well-known L.A. designer, Ellene Warren, who always had something new for me when I walked into her store. After seeing some of the other displays Michael did, we’re anxiously waiting to see what he does with all the DF stuff we gave him to work with. We know he’s going to do a great job with my exhibit!
I’m also excited we will have my Live!!! cd for sale for the first time at the event this Saturday! I can’t wait to share it with you.
I just love you guys so much and can’t wait to see you again.
Love,
Donna
