Hey My Friends in our Friday Follies Club…I hope you’re all doing your best and having the most fun you’ve ever had!  It’s about 43 degrees here, so we’re freezing, but I’m sure it’s even colder where some of you are.  As I always say though…it’s just weather and it will change and the sooner the better.  I vote for summer.

Anyway…did you see the great show on Wednesday night with all the country music artists at the Opry 100 Celebration?  I didn’t see it in its entirety so I hope they will replay it.

One of my favorite female artists is Ashley McBryde who sang her popular song “Girl Going Nowhere” with Terri Clark.  I think this song is so well written.  I was told she co-wrote it with Jeremy Bussey after her algebra teacher said she should find something else to do basically.  That comment may have discouraged another writer/singer but I’m glad it inspired Ashley to write this phenomenal song.  Sometimes it takes a negative to bring the best out of us, so thank God for the negatives too, huh?

Carrie Underwood did a touching tribute to Randy Travis.  Alan Jackson was excellent.  Keith Urban is one of my favorite male artists and he was amazing as always.  Blake was really good.  I miss him on The Voice.   It was fun to see Barbara Mandrell, and Vince Gill was so cool.  There were many outstanding artists, and they all performed wonderfully.  I thought the show was really well produced also, didn’t you?

Okay, I’d better get to work on some of those projects I’m so behind on.  I love you guys so much and I’ll talk to you next Friday.  Hot Diggity Dog!  Oh, I almost forgot to say thank you for all the downloads and for all the orders for the actual cd of my new song “You Can Count on Me.”   I love your sweet comments.  I’m so tickled that you’re loving the song.  That’s music to my ears!  We’ve got some other things “cooking,” so stay tuned.

Love,
Donna
