Hot diggety dog! It’s Friday again. How’s everybody? Fantastic, I hope.
Have you ever been in a conversation with people and it seemed like they weren’t listening but rather just waiting to talk? In fact, the person didn’t even act like he was there. Or there are those who do a pretty good job of acting like they’re there, but you know from what they said that they hadn’t heard a word you said.
If you want to be remembered, this might be a good place to start with your own self-analysis. It’s really a lesson to ourselves about being present, listening and not just waiting to talk, it’s about being engaged and involved. It’s so easy to act like you’re there but not be there when someone might need your help and depend on something you could say. We just need to care more basically and sometimes more than others.
Well now… I’ve been thinking about something. Do y’all remember what a real small town Saturday night felt like? Music playing… friends laughing… maybe a little dancing going on. I’ve got a feeling we’re about to have a Small Town Hillbilly Good-Time Saturday Night! Stay tuned… something fun is coming April 18.
And here’s a little favor to ask…if you’d like to help me spread the word, grab this badge and use it as your Facebook profile picture for a while. Let’s see how many of us can get ready for a Small Town Hillbilly Good-Time Saturday Night together!
In the meantime, I surround you all with faith and love. Keep listening!
Love,
Donna
