Hey Everybody checking in on this Friday Follies day. As always, I hope you’re well and happy and content.
Some of you may know by now how important I think diet is…and that thought led me to wondering if any of you who have bought my book HEARTACHES AND MIND STORMS whether or not you’re using the dietary chart I included in the novel. I would love to know if you have because I really believe in it. It’s such a good way to see on paper how disciplined you have been on taking care of your body regarding diet.
I did the chart for me because it helped me to be more cognizant about my diet. I mean it’s easy to just eat “whatever,” but we need to check ourselves regarding the truth of the matter. In fact, as I checked on myself as I’ve been doing each day for a while now, I can clearly see that I’m not drinking enough water. Someone might say “And you need a check list for that?” Well, I think it’s wise to be sure about how well you’re doing and what you’re doing regularly to enhance your health.
Have you ever heard “We are what we eat?” It just seemed like good sense to me to record your dietary behaviors in a month. Sometimes just by looking at the chart I get more conviction about where I seem to be doing okay when I review the checkmarks and Xs columns. It’s a monthly chart and it’s been really helpful for me. I definitely feel a little better physically and I credit daily monitoring with this chart in helping me to develop healthier habits.
For those of you who haven’t read the novel, the main character is a life coach and she counsels people with problems, and one of the characters has dietary issues to deal with. That’s why I included this chart.
But for now, before this Friday Follies gets to be as long as a novel, I’ll let you go. See you next Friday.
Love,
Donna
P.S. Don’t forget I would love to hear from any of you who are actually using the chart. I care about your health and well-being and I would like to know if the chart has been helpful.
P.S.S. Again, I want to thank all of our prayer partners for praying for Saraa and her boyfriend Chad who were in the motorcycle accident. (And yes that is the proper way to spell Saraa’s name.) According to my conversation with Marisa, they both seem to be doing remarkably well in spite of the seriousness of their injuries. Let’s continue to pray the doctors will be guided by divine wisdom to continue helping them with their recoveries.
