Happy Friday Follies on the 20th of February – and how’s everybody checking in?  I hope you’re wonderful beyond description and in every way!  And I hope the ice storm missed you and saved you from damage – we’re still in cleanup mode here.

The ice is finally gone and the temperatures are much better.  Now we just have to deal with the hole in the roof and two trees on the house and a few “sleepy” trees lying on the ground.  But everything’s gonna’ be all right.  It can always be worse and these are fixable problems.  Hallelujah.

Backing up a bit, we had great fun at the Alice Awards where the Nashville Women in Film and Television presented PBS executive Becky Magura with the Linda Evjen Impact Award, Carolyn McDonald with the Trailblazer Award, Deborah Allen with the Pioneer Award, Carla Christina Contrereas with the Vagabond Award, and Patti Price with the Woman of Influence Award and yours truly with the Icon Award.  We were all elated to receive recognition for doing what we love.  Thank you, Nashville Women in Film and Television.  What a beautiful evening and wonderful memory.  It was such fun.

Katy Rogers, who presented my award, is going to do an in-depth interview with me next week.  I’m looking forward to speaking with her again.  She is a talented writer and quite the character.  I’ll let you know when the story is published.  As I said in my acceptance speech, “And let’s remember not to let our dreams die unborn and unlived.  They are alive and well, and they know exactly when to come true.  Let’s keep rocking, doing our best and celebrating life.”  The women who received the awards as well as the presenters like Katy, and the other WIFT members are doing just that – living their dreams and never giving up.  Rock on ladies, we got this!

Good wishes for everything you wish for – until next time!

Love, love, love,

Donna
