Hey Everybody. I hope you’re all doing well. We sure had a “Small Town Hillbilly Good-Time Saturday Night” last Saturday! It was fun seeing everyone that stopped by the Legends of Country Music Museum for my autograph signing. It was a rainy night but y’all got out in the rain anyway – thank you! And the folks at the museum were wonderful. I am so honored by the exhibit they created for me last year. If you’re in Nashville, please stop by and see them.
From there, we took the party over to the Santa Fe restaurant on Music Valley Drive. Before I got there, Linda auctioned off my white hat with the buckle band. (It’s pictured on the back of my novel, HEARTACHES & MIND STORMS). I can’t believe I gave it up, but Curtis Cox was the high bidder and it looks great on him.
There were also a few other auction surprises. Ricky Fuson won the button-down denim star shirt and the “I Think of You” pillow. Vonnie Watson won the teddy bear that had on one of the vests I used to wear on stage. Norma Jean Wallace won a cap, and it was perfect for her. It was nice to spend a little time with Jennifer Herron, her husband Bobby Marquez and Jennifer’s sweet mom.
Thank you to Santa Fe for the wonderful food and excellent service. It was so much fun just hanging out and seeing so many familiar faces. You all are so special to me. I’m including a lot of photos for those of you who couldn’t make it. We missed you!
Earlier in the week, a group spearheaded by Vonnie Watson rallied on Music Row to grow support for my induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. I am so humbled by all that you are doing to try to make it happen. No matter what happens though – each and every one of you are in my personal Hall of Fame.
We also had a few new items for sale last weekend and I’m happy to say they are now on DonnaFargo.com and PrimaDonnaEntertainmentCorp.com. We’ve added USBs (a rhinestone heart and a black guitar) that includes the LIVE!!! album, ALL BECAUSE OF YOU EP, plus “Small Town Hillbilly Good-Time Saturday Night,” “You Can Count on Me” and a few other surprises. We sold out of those last weekend but have reordered and should have more next week.
There’s also a new 8×10, a new 5×7 Fargo-ism (If You’re Not Happy You’re Cheating Yourself”), 2 new Heart Hugs (High on Life and Eat Mindfully) and the “Still The Happiest Girl” sweatshirts – so happy shopping – remember Christmas is right around the corner.
