Hey You Guys! Thanks for being here.
Hope you’re all doing great out there somewhere in the best country in the world, America, and all those who are from other countries too. Our weather here in Music City has been absolutely fabulous, and beautiful weather is a blessing that we’re always thankful for. Hope it’s perfect where you are also.
I’m so excited about my new record, “Small Town Hillbilly Good-Time Saturday Night,” and I’m thrilled with everyone who is playing it. Thank you to all the djs. I really appreciate your giving me another opportunity for my music to be heard and enjoyed.
We have been informed that the first stations to officially play “Small Town” are Hwy 89 Country Radio (Flagstaff, AZ), 107.5 The Swamp (Breaux Bridge, LA), Camel City Radio (Winston-Salem, NC), New Country US99 live (Newport News, VA), and CMR Nashville (CMA’s international radio station of the year). So thank you all so much!
Plus I want to say a welcome back to Joe Don Baker and the relaunch of his show Classic Country Saturday Night. We’ve missed you!
Also, thank you to Justin Reed (The Justin Reed Show), Phil Kranz (Black Dog Indie Country Radio) and Scott Wikle (My Kind Of Country) for having me back on your shows to interview me. It was so nice to get to talk to you again! Thank you for playing my new song also. There’s more to come, so stay tuned.
I’ll be doing an autograph signing again this year at The 12th Annual Country With Heart for St. Jude Benefit on June 6, 2026, at the Nashville Nightlife Dinner Theatre in Nashville, TN. Bobby Marquez hosts this event every year. He and his wife Jennifer Herron work very hard raising money for St. Jude and I’m so glad I can be there for such a great cause.
When searching for “Small Town” reviews, this is the AI generated description that comes up: “Small Town Hillbilly Good-Time Saturday Night” by Donna Fargo is described by fans as an upbeat, feel-good country anthem and is praised as a fun, high-energy track that captures the spirit of community and simple pleasures.” I’ll add that it magically makes you want to move to it and sing along with it, and I really don’t think I’m just prejudiced. Ha.
A lot of you seem to like it too because you’re sure keeping us busy! In the meantime, thank you for all the orders, and be sure to stay safe, healthy, and happy until I get to see you again.
Love, love, love,
Donna
P.S. Rising star Avery Anna said she was completely caught off guard when she received the ACM New Female Artist of the Year award at Lone Star Smokeout recently. We’ve been told the first song she learned was “Happiest Girl” and I was so thrilled to introduce her at the Opry last year where one of the songs she performed was “The Happiest Girl in the Whole USA.” Congratulations, Avery Anna! I’m so proud of you!
P.S. again. I have interviews coming up with Mandy Barnett, Shannon McCombs and Paul Farrar so far in May. We’ll update you with airtimes as they become available.
P.S.S. Look at our friend Ricky’s cool jacket that he designed himself and had made by B. Unique Jackets! Mighty fine!
