Hey again. It’s Friday, you know, so welcome back to Friday Follies! I hope you’re all doing better than great. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the season to change into Autumn and get us all some cooler temperatures, huh?
To keep you updated regarding the November 1st Songwriter Session event at the Country Music Hall of Fame, I had my first meeting with Lauren Mascitti on Tuesday, August 19th. We talked about the 7 songs for her to learn, and I’m so excited to have her sing them. I think she’ll do a great job. She is very cool, self-confident, and experienced.
And thanks to all of you who were kind enough to share with me your top 7!!! I am so grateful to you, and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you for doing that for me. Your choices were so interesting, and I was pleased that there was so much variety.
Most of all, I can’t wait to see those of you who are planning to attend, and I hope you have fun while you’re here. Thank you so much for your support all these years. I am so blessed to know you, and I wish you every good thing to enhance your life.
Stay safe, be fair, be kind, and be your sweet, wonderful selves.
Love,
Donna
P.S. I want to thank the Mt. Airy Rotary Club for celebrating my music at their last meeting. They had some wonderful ladies singing my latest song, “You Can Count on Me” as well as “The Happiest Girl in the Whole USA” and the audience joined in….what a treat to see the video. I just love Mt. Airy! You’re the best! You can count on me and I can always count on you!
P.S.S. I thought I would share a few more pictures from the Opry and there’s also a picture from my interview with Terry Squires on Today’s Nashville! Check out the jacket – I decorated it. Cool, huh?
