Hey my favorite friends, I hope you are blessed to the bone and know it. I feel so blessed to know you.
Somebody asked me… “Donna, is it possible to lose your individuality? And if so, how?”
That’s a great question! You absolutely can lose your individuality by being too heavily and mindlessly influenced by “group think.” I’ve seen it happen time and time again when people join a group and adopt their philosophy. It can take away your true compass about what’s right and wrong. In other words, your individuality. You’ll think…well, so and so believes this, so it must be true, but maybe it’s not. For example, harmful remarks targeted at others is not always rooted in truth, but in negative emotions.
Here’s my point…How would you like it if people who don’t know you referred to you in a negative way? You would think that’s not fair, wouldn’t you? We could interpret this in a lot of ways…lazy talk, criticism, mean talk, mindless talk, or just bs. We need to think for ourselves instead of allowing others to influence us to say things we really don’t mean or cause us to lose our integrity and authenticity. Our words have power – they can lift people up or let them down – the choice is ours.
So let’s try something…for the next 3 days, I challenge us all not to criticize anyone. Nobody. Instead, don’t lie, but find something positive to say when you refer to people. When you find a negative thought about someone in your mind, pray for that person, and see how it changes your attitude. We just need to be kinder in general. We’re all in this together, and we need each other. God wants us to love one another, so let’s do it. I will if you will.
You know I love you.
Love,
Donna
P.S. The calendar is almost done. It’s from July to July and we think you’ll love it. It’s 44 pages!
P.P.S. I want to thank you all for your prayers for my sweet niece, Denise Moseley. I’m so sorry to report that she died yesterday. This is a profound loss for our family. She was very special to all of us and will really be missed.
P.P.P.S. Someone also asked that we keep Rev. Jimmy Swaggart in our prayers, and we certainly will, as I’m sure he’s in the prayers of probably many in the rest of the world. He’s a real man of God, so smart. I have so many of his books and I study his Expositor’s Study Bible every morning. His television channel is amazing. It’s called the SonLife Broadcasting Network. Their singers and musicians are fabulous. I love Frances and Friends in the mornings. You will always be blessed. Love Donnie’s preaching and his wisdom.
So, Satan take your hands off Brother Swaggart! We need him back in our presence. Get him out of that coma, God, and please heal him now! Thank you for a miracle for Brother Swaggart.
